What Are Alters?

People with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) experience multiple distinct personality states, known as alters. Each alter has its own appearance, which can differ from the body, as well as unique behaviors, memories, thought patterns, skills, and modes of expression.

This collection consists of 18 collages, each dedicated to a specific alter within the system—some of whom are currently active, while others are past alters who are no longer present.
